We spent Tuesday walking the vast halls of the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas searching for new products to add to our parts line-up. The overall mood of the exhibitors seemed be “cautiously optimistic” as compared with last year and with most vendors being conservative with new product development in this economy. The Camaro and Mustang were heavily supported with new aftermarket products, Ford was promoting the Fiesta, Honda the CR-Z, and Mazda showcased several race-prepped vehicles. Racing Beat offered product support on the MX-5 display vehicle, included on the car were our sway bars, exhaust system, and exhaust header.
The original Mazda factory lines on the RX-8 (a total of eight lines) combine both rigid and flexible tubing, and include ten (10) mid-hose connector fittings. Replacing this complex combination of hosing and connectors with a simplified performance-based set eliminates possible areas of leakage during racing and high output applications. As the old saying goes, “Simple is better!”
